MOVIES: Perfect Creature, starring Dougray Scott, will screen for the first time on August 3rd in New Zealand.

MOVIES: Not enough vampire lore in I am Legend? (Read past the Iron Man info)

TOME: MaryJanice Davidson, author of the Betsy Taylor vampire books, is a riot. And she's from Minnesota! Woot!

LORE: The Coven Organization delves into the history of vampires.

GAMES: Xbox is gearing up to release Vampire Rain next week, and offers more info.

TELEVISION: Moonlight, a new CBS series about a vampire detective, is David Greenwalt's new project. Not the most original, but if you watch the video, I think it looks promising. Darker than Angel, more sentimental than Blade.

TOME: Interview with Susan Sizemore, the author of the Laws of Blood series and the Primal Desires series.

Hey Look! What's that? *points while you look and I post blog and quickly run away*

NEWS: Man in Texas shoots a woman he thinks is a vampire.
*And here's where I start my commentary... Get a grip, people! Vamps aren't real!

MOVIES: A review on Day Watch, which isn't so much vampirish, but still about night creatures. Also, another review from FilmGeeks,

TOME/MOVIES: The Historian is being adapted into a movie (anyone shocked? anyone?) but some are saying leave it alone.

GAMES/MOVIES: Sylvain White to direct the movie adaptation of Castlevania. Hope it doesn't suck.

OTHER: A picture of a vampire monkey in China... I'm sorry... I had to post this. (Note: You may have to click on 'Continue to Gallery' after you open the link.) He's so cute! And so... eerie.

TOME: I found this somewhat interesting. A blog on Young Adult Literature talks about how vampires are written within the genre.

STAGE: Vampire Lesbians of Sodom (sounds like a winner, huh?) to be performed in Greensboro June 15 through the 30th.

MUSIC: For our Euro brethren, there will be a tour called Vampires Rock, featuring Twisted Sister.

TOME: Fans of the Vampire Outlaw series rejoice, more is on it's way.

MOVIES: Grave of the Vampire/ Seed of Terror (1974) is now on DVD. Chilling!

GAMES: Vampire Rain (x-box 360) trailer is available. The graphics look pretty good. Game to be released July 3rd.

MUSIC: Vampire Suit reunites and will play at Barbes in Brooklyn at 8pm. If you love jazz, I hear they're worth seeing.

OTHER: Vampire Hunter D gets his own site. What may come of this? ;-)

MOVIES: Vampire movie 30 Days of Night trailer is out, and it looks a little too scary for me.

MOVIES: I am Legend trailer online. This is supposed to be a vamp movie, but I see no evidence of that from this.

TOME: Review of 13 Bullets by David Wellington.

MOVIES: Fangoria's review of Pretty Dead Things, a B (or C!) movie now on DVD.

LORE: Just for kicks, the American Chronicle tries to find a link to vampires.

COMICS: This July, Marvel brings us more Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter stories with Guilty Pleasures hardcover vol. 1.

MOVIES: Karin's heritage as a vampire isn't what you'd expect from a bouncy teenager. Gotta love anime!

MOVIES: A review of the movie Rise: Blood Hunter starring Lucy Liu.

I suppose apologizing for my delay wouldn't mean much this point, but even so, I apologize for my 2 month hiatus. My husband and I made the move from Connecticut to Minnesota (the Navy was finally done with us) and getting packed, moved, unpacked and set-up took some time. And of course, I still have a real job. So here I am again. Back with more vamp news for you!

MUSIC: Marilyn Manson's new album includes a song titled, "If I was your vampire..."

OTHER: Woman accused of being a vampire in South America. Someone needs to tell them about "fiction."

MOVIES: Vampire movie "The Countess" will star Ethan Hawke and Julie Deply.

TOME: Stop killing trees and read eBooks. You could try eBooks About Fantasy. I guess.

MOVIES: Spoilers and info on Blood: The Last Vampire live action film.

Please forgive my delay. As I'm sure some of you know, I'm in the process of moving across country, and damn is it a biggie. Thank god I don't have kids. "You are a kid!" my husband reminds me.

COMICS: Anita Blake does really well in comic sales. Move over Buffy!

MOVIES: Movie Web says The Bloodletting was not worth the time.

MOVIES: Popular manga comic Helsing movie adaptation comes to DVD.

MOVIES: 1974's Captain Kronos comes to DVD for the first time.

COMICS: The captivating series, Vampire Knight (manga) was released in January.

MOVIES: Horror film (and Italian film) Slaughter of the Vampires (1962) makes it's way to DVD.

GAMES: New images from Vampires Rain (the game that will appear on PS3 and XBox360) are on Quick Jump.

Well, I'm sure it's very apparent I haven't done anything in the last two months. For that, I apologize. I'll try to keep up better now. But you know how it is... Christmas, birthday, work, husband, boyfriend... It's all too much. haha

GAMES: Play AdventureQuest and be a vampire hunter! Sweet!

COMICS: Still interested in Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter? Check out a preview.

MUSIC: Italian goth band, Theatres Des Vampires will release a new double-CD next month.

MOVIES: Vampire movie Rise is having a hard time being risen...or something.

GAMES: Castlevania was released for the DS (as I'm sure you know by now) and looks to be quite fun.

COMICS: Complete Joss Whedon Q&A on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Woot!

LORE: Alien Romances tackles Vampire Physiology. Good luck guys!

OTHER: Not vamp related (unless you count reavers) but interesting, nonetheless: Firefly to be made into an MMO.

GAMES: Not sure if I've put this up before, but it's kind of fun - Vampire Online Shooter.
