About AaC
|
Welcome to Adventures at Con! This webcomic is a 20-or-so-comic series based on a group of friends that attend a science fiction convention (more specifically — ConVergence). In these fictional five days at the Con, this group of friends has to deal with a threat to the festivities, in addition to the ever-present insanities that every convention has to offer. This weekly comic will be updated every Sunday night/Monday morning, so it is available by Monday night. At the bottom page of the comic are Larry's and Danielle's comments/bloggings/etc. and eventually, a place for you to enter comments as well. This hasn't completely been worked out yet, but bare with us as we find our footing. As always, suggestions are gladly accepted, but not necessarily followed. We do what we can. We hope you enjoy our new endeavor. It is one that we have toiled upon for a while, and eagerly await the responses of our readers. We have a love for art, comics, and great storytelling, and we hope you do too. Hopefully, we'll achieve all of those here. ;-) A few people have asked who the characters are based on. Mostly our friends wanting to know how we draw them. Well, I'll be happy to show you. These are certainly not all inclusive, and as our comics progress, I'll add more. But these are the people that the characters images (not likenesses) are based on.
* Andy used to wear glasses, but doesn't much anymore. You may see him with his glasses on or off depending on the mood of the artists.
Have any questions, comments, or just want to say how awesome we are? Sure you do! Email us at: adventuresatcon@gmail.com.
(or just asked once, but I thought it was good enough to put here.) Are these kid-friendly? Good question. We haven't gone too far in our storyline yet, but there will be references to nudity, alcohol, and probably some illegal activity. That is not to say however, that there will actually be nudity or illegal activity. And we won't swear much. I promise. Are the characters real? Most of the characters are based on real people, but only their likenesses and attitudes. Nothing said or done actually happened. |
