No matter where you live or work, there are vampires lurking about, and your local union is what is keeping you safe when you decide to go out at night. Vampire Hunters are everywhere, and at last we have started a union joining us all together with camaraderie, support, and benefits. While the general public is unaware of the villainy that lurks in the shadows, the VHU strives to make the world a safer place.
What is the Vampire Hunters Union?
The Vampire Hunters Union is a group of individuals committed to the destruction and ultimately total wipe out of Vampires. By means of staking (or other means of vampire hunting), our goal is to keep the public safe from the elements that go bump in the night. While we do specialize in vampires, they are not the only force of evil that we fight. We also are trained in other night creatures such as werewolves, ghosts, witches, hounds, demons and other monsters. However, each of us is trained first and foremost in vampire hunting and slaying, in addition to having specialties. We in the VHU are also dedicated to keeping the public aware of the threat amidst the darkness.
How was the VHU formed?
A group of friends in Minnesota, USA were hunting vampires one night and decided that helping other hunters out there might be a good idea. By forming a support group we could expand, get contracts and most importantly- have job security. That's right- we are armed, dangerous, and are unafraid because we have dental insurance.
Do you really fight vampires?
No, not really. We all agree that our lives would be potentially more exciting if vampires did exist, (and that we would rise to the challenge of defeating them) but right now they do not. At least not in the form that television and movies explain them. But for now, we are a group of friends who like to hang out with each other and have a good time. We do enjoy vampire movies, shows, etc,. but are also a well rounded group with many interests. Our goal above all else is to have a good time with good people who share similar interests. We host a yearly party at the ConVergence sci-fi/fantasy convention in Minnesota, and welcome all of our supporters there.
In case anyone didn't get the gist of that, our main goal is to HAVE FUN. This site, the group, the comic, and the convention room parties are all in a fun spirit and are meant to be entertaining, humorous, and all that good stuff.
